Generate Sound Effects in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
Ever wanted to describe a sound effect in plain words and have it land in your project? Fix a one-second glitch without opening a DAW? Sound-design a folder of clips in one pass?
Now, with Mirelo MCP, you can.
Mirelo MCP is a hosted MCP server that lets an AI assistant generate and edit sound effects for you. You describe the sound you want; the assistant generates it into your project, synced to your picture when you provide video.
- Learn more and get full setup guides: mirelo.ai/mcp
- Agent connect URL (not a webpage): mcp.mirelo.ai/mcp
Add that URL in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible assistant, sign in with your Mirelo account, and generate from the chat.
Sound design for any agent
Sound is the part most builders reach last, and the part they get most wrong without specialist help.
Developers building creative or interactive products often have no dedicated audio layer. They integrate an API by hand or skip real sound entirely. Editors and creators lock picture first because sound lives outside the tool they work in. Without a sound team, most people fill the gap with generic stock effects — or nothing.
Mirelo MCP answers both problems the same way: sound is generated inside the tool you are already building or editing in.
What is Mirelo MCP?
Mirelo MCP exposes Mirelo audio models to a language model as tools it can call. When you ask your assistant for a sound, it calls the model and hands you back the result.
It is a hosted, remote server. There is no repository to clone, no Python environment, no dependency install, and no API key to stash somewhere. You paste one URL and sign in through your browser. Generation is charged against the Studio credits already on your account.
The server covers the full loop:
- Generate sound effects from text
- Generate sound effects from video
- Extend an audio clip that is too short
- Replace a selected region of an audio clip while leaving the rest untouched
It can also estimate credits and runtime before it generates — useful when an agent works through a whole folder rather than a single file.
Setup steps, videos, example prompts, and FAQs live on the Mirelo MCP page.
What you can do with it
Add sound effects to a website or app. Button clicks, toggles, notifications, success chimes — describe the sound instead of buying a pack and settling for “close enough.”
"Generate a soft click for this button. Short, muted, no metallic ring."
Generate sound effects for a game. Iterate while you are in the editor.
"Here's my gameplay clip — generate footstep and impact sounds that match the action."
Sound design a video. Ship something that sounds finished without a dedicated sound team.
"Extend this ambience to forty-five seconds so it covers the whole scene."
How to get started
- Open your MCP-compatible assistant (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, or another remote MCP client).
- Add a remote MCP server with URL
https://mcp.mirelo.ai/mcp(ChatGPT: developer-mode app — not Cursor-stylemcpServersJSON). - Complete Sign in with Mirelo when prompted.
- Ask for a sound — for example, “Generate a short SFX of glass breaking on a tile floor.”
Client-specific walkthroughs (Individual vs Team Claude, Claude Code CLI, Codex, howto videos) are maintained on mirelo.ai/mcp. Prefer that page as the source of truth so steps stay up to date.
Two things to know:
- Generation and editing run asynchronously — the assistant polls or waits on a job rather than blocking forever.
https://mcp.mirelo.ai/mcpis an agent interface, not a marketing page. Opening it in a browser returns an authorization response, not a site. Result download links are temporary; download anything worth keeping.
